190E Suddenly don't start
Hello guys.
My 190E 2.3 8V, suddenly shot down in the middle of the traffic.
Now i try to start it, but only the battery warning light is working, the other light don't working.
When i move the key foawrd i see the battery light and i can't listen the fuel pump working.
Where should i check?
Thanks, JEP.

What year is it? Anything pre 90's its likely your timing chain snapped, could also be clogged fuel filter or cis fuel distribustion system (located under the air intake housing). First off: remove the oil filler cap and shine a flashlight in and see if there is a chain on the sprocket, if there isn't, bad luck.. its a snapped timing chain. Next up is to remove one of the brass lines that feed one of the injectors (any will do). Make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand! Crank the engine and if fuel is flowing it will shoot upwards like a fountain. If there is fuel its not the cis system/fuel pump/fuel filter.. and **** gets nasty because that leaves electrical... good luck.

Having kinda the same issue.
Just got an 85' 190e off my buddy. he drove it home from work on his lunch and came into his inclined driveway a little hot and bottomed out a little. He turned the car off and went into his house to eat. When he came back to leave it wouldn't start but it cranks over. Checked spark with an inline spark tool, that's good. Can smell fuel fumes in the tail pipe. Not sure why it's not starting. Would really love to drive it sometime soon as I am close to finishing up my Diesel Technology degree and should be working at the local Mercedes Benz dealer with in 6 months.
Any help is appreciated.
