Low idle problem

I have a 1985 190e 2.3 8v with a low idle (500rpms) and sometimes it will stutter and die. I have little knowledge of how these engines work but I tried tinkering with it and this is what I found. The hose I took a picture of impacts the problem. I tried different combinations of unplugging connections and found out that the issue happens when hose #1 is connected. In the picture whenever the number 1 hose is connected it idles at 500rpms. If you take it off, it idles normally (900rpms). I tried cleaning the hose but it changed nothing. What else should I try?

I think there is a small calibrated PCV orfice hole in the white plastic connector that becomes clogged by carbon, try to clear the small hole out with a thin wire like a paper clip. Be careful cause those hose may break easy.

Found the solution. Near the back right of the engine, there is an idle adjustment. You adjust how much air the engine needs at idle by rotating the black circular plastic piece with notches in it. Hope that helps!
