86 190E power loss and return issue

86 190E power loss and return issue
Ok ive got an 86 190e 2.3 and it has a rebuilt head, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and ive tried just about everything i can think of to track down this problem.
I may be a newbie here but ive got 15 years experience working on cars and this is driving me insane. I however havent had much experience with mercedes other than basic repair parts like suspension and brakes.
So on to the issue, when the car is warmed up and you first take off it hesitates and shifts hard for about the first mile, after that it runs fine and has a moderate amount of power (def not a race car but will keep up in traffic) then when you reach hills it has absolutely no power and if you give it more than half throttle it nose dives. Now here is the crazy part, after a few days of this it runs perfect! I mean 80+ on the highway and hills, what hills? Then for no obvious reason, after 1 day or 30 days or 5 miles it has war time flash backs and goes back to running like garbage.
I have checked the fuel pressure at the pump, after the filter and at the injectors and it is consistent. I have checked and rechecked the timing both mechanical and electrical and they are spot on. I have checked for vacuum leaks and or an intermittent loss of vacuum and have found none.
I really love this old car especially since it reminds me of grandpas 84 300s in many ways. I want to figure this out and not just pass the problem along to someone else by selling it. If anyone has any advise on this please let me know. If you had a similar issue and it have an answer i would be eternally grateful!
