M156 engine swap into 190E
 

Ok guys, to keep this short... I'm looking to swap my 2.6 6 cylinder into the 6,2 liter V8 AMG engine. I found one with all the wiring, engine and transmission for a reasonable price.

This is something that I want to do a long time but I have no clue if it's even possible. I know Piper Powersports who converted a C63 car into a 190 EVO 2 but that is not what I wanted to do. I just want to swap the engine and transmission. I understand that this is a very specific job and not easy to do but is it even possible? Is the engine bay deep enough? Will it fit without cutting the suspension towers?

I really want to do a build on a 190e but I dont think the V8 is a good option the 6.2 is way to big for the engine bay and you will need a lot of work to wire it and have custom parts made. From what I found best swap for a 190e 2.6 is the M104 3.2 or if you can find a 3.6 and turbo it. They are pretty cheap and with a turbo can make 500whp with very little mods. Or go for a diesel swap a om606 om605 or om603 best one is the om606 with a bigger turbo and intercooler and foul pump you can make around 500whp to and can make way more with mods people are making close to 700whp on stock om606 engine.

From what I read the m104 3.2 is a bolt in it will fit with stock mounts idk about trans and driveshaft but im pretty sure the same so its a direct swap and the wires mite even fit to but idk about that. Plus you can get the m104 with low miles for like 1500 to 2500 and a turbo kit will run you around 5k or just buy parts from turbobandit
