Anyone Done a Clutch Replacement on a 190D (or ANY W201)?
I was enlisted to help a friend with an '85 190D 2.2 liter in changing his clutch.
I have a lift so was the obvious candidate, and since I have 3 Mercedes (none manual) I was tapped, though have no workshop manual.
I did searches, but even the Forums and YouTube are silent. I hope I didn't make a mistake agreeing to tackle the job-it seems like not a lot out there
Mostly I am wondering how bell housing bolt access is and whether like w/ my BMWs allowing the engine to tilt down in the back will give enough room to work to get at the bolts.
Thanks,
Bob

You'll be fine, driveshaft is super easy and it's actually 17mm for the transmission bolts, but razvy has the right idea. The tilt makes it incredibly visible where the bolts are. You might be able to pull it off without a swivel. Good luck.
