Firing up 190e 2.3-16 for first time in 6 years- parts change advice needed

I’m taking over a beautiful 86 190e 2.3-16 from my uncle in April, it’s a smoke silver car with an automatic.

The car was last started about 6 years ago. As the old saying goes- ran when parked.

It’s been garaged in Wisconsin and I just
built a house with a lot of extra garage space so it’s time to add her to the collection!

I’m going to tow to my mechanic (no start attempt) so he can get it road ready.

Car has 120k miles.

i’m thinking of doing the following items. Thoughts on anything else and where to buy all besides brakes/tires?

tires
rotors
pads
brake lines
battery
all fluids
hoses
belts

Anything else you’d suggest?

No mod plans other than Euro headlights at some point.

thx!
Aaron

Drove home or towed?

I'd have disconnected tank and drained it, changed fuel filter, etc.

Took 7 months at the shop.

My car had ethanol gas that ruined all kinds of stuff.

We replaced the fuel tank, filler tube, fuel lines, fuel pumps, injectors, and rebuilt the fuel distributor to get the car back to running.

Tank came from ebay, was $$$$$

You need to disable the start cycle,, and turn the engine over a few times to get the oil pressure up .Dont start up till you do this .As the cars been sitting for so long all the oil will drain down to the sump ,,so a few revalutions of the engine will bring pressure back . Then next step will be an oil change and replace the old filter for a new one .,And as post before said to remove all the old fuel because it will be no good by now so will need draining off ,,you dont want the gum and tar getting up in to your fuel distributor.. Replace fuel filter . If the car is as good as you say you might just get by without replacing HT system But if you have to change them ,,thats if its a none starter ,, but only replace the part with the same number on for the part that you remove- The parts like plugs rotor arm along with distributor and ht leads .Do this with Bosch or Beru parts only, if you have to , then you can forget that side of the engine for 5-6 years .But coolant will need flushing and replacing .But for now it you see coolant is up to the level you can go on and do this at a later date important it must be changed out after 3 years and it will loose it inhibitor prperties . Sound interesting and i wish you luck on your project .I can tell this 190 is going to be opne of the best ..

That's some pretty serious "extra garage space".
