ULEZ Query, Is it time to let go of my 190e?
I am writing with a question about the new ULEZ scrappage scheme. I own a 2L 190e, I have owned it since 2018 and its been the most amazing car to own for that time, I have driven it all over Europe when I moved to Athens and also when I moved to Marseille another time. Its my daily driver and I love it dearly. Unfortunately with the way things are going in London where I live now it is feeling increasingly impossible to own. I am thinking of getting a compliant car moving forward but I couldn't decide whether it made more sense to scrap it and try and get the 2,000£ or to try and sell it to a new owner who will continue to love it as much as I do. It seems like an unbelievable waste to have it be crushed into oblivion.
I am wondering if it makes more sense to scrap it or try and find the right buyer? I will find some photos of it and include some more details below. In my opinion it all works a charm, rust free and functioning electric sunroof and windows, albeit the interior is tired and the door cards were pretty wrecked by a mechanic that wasn't familiar with the proper procedure for their removal.
Would be really interested in anyones thoughts!
