Check out Code3 Performance (another MB site sponsor) as they have a heat exchanger available. They also have a larger heat exchanger for the '03 E55s. I just received mine this week and it looks pretty well done. I can't wait to get it installed! Pics to come!

The Code3 7" heat exchanger is in the low $800 range if memory serves. I have one and it is a pretty nice piece. It bolts in like it is OEM and doesn't require any cutting, grinding, etc.

I think the smaller one is $700 but is on their website.

I paid $863 with shipping to Phoenix for mine. Apparently, Brandon did a slight modification to the original 7" core and the change added about 5oz more capacity for around 85oz overall compared to 28oz for the stock unit (I believe). I'm just waiting for my Johnson pump to come in this week and I'll have it installed...can't wait!

I got mine last week from Brandon and it looks good. Lot of welding on the piece. Mine is for an 04. Price is fixed. Check him out.......I am installing a Johnson CM30 pump that I bought last year as a back up. Will let you know what happens. I don't overheat nor have had my SC ever shut down but I do get heat soak.

We had a slight issue during the shipment of our E55 prototype unit and now we have to redo fitment. However, our HE has a 6" core and our price can't be beat.

$400 shipped
$500 + Johnson Pump shipped

If there is an E55 in Houston that is willing to help we will take care of you. Otherwise, this is on the top of our list and will be finished shortly.

The C32 HE is different, but you can at least see some pics of our work.

LETMotorsports unit installed -

Fit and finish are excellent. Straightforward installation. During the three months it has been in place, it’s reduced extended WOT IATs by <30 degrees. When the debilitating summer heat arrives, I anticipate its impact on performance will be even more advantageous.

Highly recommended.

before making a decision.. I would search bar and plate vs tube and fin.

also volume of capacity.

either way... the E55 needs a bigger HE no matter you slice and dice.

My unit is 80oz and the new one which is on my C32 holds a bit more than 85 oz.

mix with water wetter and water .. its a killer combo.

Will an independent shop know the proper mixture? I know, really dumb question...

what ever you spill when removing.. replace with water (bottled water)

some like to use distilled water if you can find it.

I plan to flush my system completely, therefore I used bottled water.

Mix water with the Water Wetter and pour back into your reservoir.

Stock E55 unit holds around 28oz I believe.
