Thanks.

I'm just starting to enjoy it, although I have to make sure I watch the 1000-mile break-in period.

Congratulation, very attractive!!

Noise in picture is from your camera's high resolution, switch to lower resolution to reduce noise

By "noise" are you referring to the reflection of the trees and everything else around? If so, then I'm not sure if lowering the res. will effect it.....

I too was wondering why there was so much reflection from the car. Could be that it's sparkling new ..... The dealership did an excellent job with detailing it. They also waxed the car before delivery. Maybe that had something to do with it. Could also be that at the time of the day that I was taking the pics., the sun was setting right behind the car. Maybe I should have waited until right after sunset.....

dynomite05 and vb26 - re. lowering the car:

I knew it was only going to be a matter of time before someone asked me that!

A few things:

1) The angle at which I took the pics might have something to do with making the car "appear" to sit higher....... I was actually on my knees taking most of those pics. so that I could get a better view of the lines and rims. So, on most of those pics, you are actually looking at the car from the ground up.

2) The car really doesn't look that high - actually looks no different than when it had the 19" AMG rims on. And, when I calculated the overall tire diameter between the old and new tires, there was barely a 0.01 inch difference!

3) From what I have read on here and elsewhere, you really have 2 options for lowering: (a) Use Brabus/Renntech/Lorinser lowering modules (b) monkey with the control module under the front passenger seat and "trick" the car into sitting lower! In "option a", you run into potential warranty issues with MB. With "option b", you better have one of the best MB techs working at your local dealership who knows everything about the factory computer and air suspension. In either case, you also run into issues of the tire hitting the fender under heavy loads or when the car is on bumpy surfaces. Then you probably have to "roll" the fenders. All this seems more like too much of a headache and too many unknowns when compared to the issue at hand. Not to mention that once you buy the lowering module it's yours - no returning!

So, I'm actually fine with the height at which it sits - just don't want it to look too modified - I like the car to look "factory/original" and at the same time elegant and aggressive but not tooooo sporty. IMO, when you start making large mods it just starts to make the car lose it's original appeal...... I mean why make a $110,000 Benz look like Ice Cube's rented limmo?

Maybe I'll post some pics from a normal standing height...

IMO You are making $110,000 Benz look a lot better than it looks now! You are not making it look like something else you are making it look more aggressive like you say. IMO if you are spending that much money on a car a little extra to lower it would go a long way! To each their own

I updated my previous response with a 3rd concern (about lowering).

I certainly accept that people have different preferences from yours but the above is a 100% match to what I like (perhaps not good for you ).

The car is very nice. I was just wondering if you camera had time set correctly, did not look like photos taken 7:30 PM.

Uuummmmmmm.... that's about the time at which I took the pics. If you look closely at a couple of the pics you'll see the sun (Orange tint) in the background behind the trees. It was also an overcast day, so not much bright light.

This time of the year (in Texas), it's bright till about 8:15 pm!

The S looks great!! Nice to see you went with the 2-piece instead of the 1-piece. I like the 2-pc better.

Noise is the grain and speckle. You have a lot of it for some reason.

Yup, it took me forever to make up my mind.... and then AFTER I had the wheels installed ahmadkshuja alerted me to the AMG rims that look very similar (not sure who copied who here ) and are about 1/2 the cost of the Brabus Mono Block's. But on taking a closer look, they are not quite as nice or elegant as the Brabus (finish and size wize, not to mention AMG does not make a 6-spoke in that style). So now I don't feel like I got duped

Yes, I think I had my settings set to "hi-iso" - not sure if that caused the picture to be more grainy (less resolution) ...... with all the gizzillion gadgets around me, each with a 500-1000 pg manual, I'm surprised I actually have time to sleep... and do other things humans do on a daily basis.

That looks nice. I would have went with either 21's or 22's, but that looks great. Looks like a grown folks car. very professional looking. Have you looked into lowering it a little.
