Finally put new wheels on the dragon: HRE Comp97 19x9F (21.5lbs), 19x10R (22.0lbs) with Toyo T1-R 255/35-19F and 285/30-19R tires. I'm going to have the rear fenders rolled in the next day or two. I knew I'd have to when I ordered them, but that's the price for all this sexy.
Pics for your perusal: (Done with P&S cam. I'll shoot it with the real camera this weekend.)
That pretty much completes my planned performance mods, other than some more exhaust work. (What I wouldn't do for long tube headers...)
Feedback?

Did you by any chance weigh the stock wheels/tires?
It would look even better with the centers powder-coated dark grey or maybe black... but then how much weight would the paint add?

I managed to weigh the 19" AMGs without tires, and they were around 28 lbs if I recall correctly. Surprisingly there was only around 1/2lb difference between the fronts and rears. I would imagine the 18"s would be a couple lbs less?

And powdercoat typically adds 2-3ozs/wheel, if you must know...
You have very fine taste, my friend. Very fine. Love the murder-burger look.

One with 4 wheels
I have to agree with Zivic..........
The fact that you got a step lip made the 19's look like 17's........
Great car, just not feeling the rims.

Thank god you've managed to avoid the insatiable desire certain MB owners have to put ridiculously large and amazing gaudy/cheesy/trashy wheels on your fine german vehicle.
The wheels you have selected look great, and do not need any sort of paint, powdercoating, or other nonsense. Black wheels are awful.
Excellent choice, and thanks for staying classy...san diego.

Stock 18's: 26lbs front, 26.5lbs rear (without TPMS sensors, but with a bunch of brake dust). Lighter than I thought they'd be for cast wheels. Leave it to Mercedes to surpass my expectations and make me question spending thousands of dollars to save a total of 18lbs of rotating mass.
Who am I kidding... I'd do it again in a heartbeat! My HREs are insanely sexy, and improve the ride a lot more than I expected them to. Now I just have to buy some security lug nuts. Or just not park it anywhere sketchy. Ever. I guess I'd better get used to having to give valets an extra $20 to keep it right in front...
Also, I still have the stock tires (well, a replacement set, anyway), but I'm not going to bother weighting them because there isn't a lot of usable rubber left on them, so there's that...
The Toyo's feel pretty light, but I'll have to check the warehouse invoice again to get the exact weights for you.
Thanks man! You get it...

Josh your car is insane with all the mods. You burn rubber like nobody's business but I have to say I am not feeling those rims, even though they might compliment the performance, they don't do the same to my eyes. Just my opinion but as long as you are happy, that is all the matters!

As far as the rims go, the funny thing is they weren't my first choice, either. But I went with dude at HRE's advice and now that I've had them on the car for a bit, I've really grown to love them. Since I put them on, I finished the trim blackout and it really shows them off better. I'll post new pics at some point.
The truth is that my first priority was light weight. And the fact that they have Ti fasteners, drool... ...drool more.
And now they're about to drop the carbons on us. Another 3lbs lighter/wheel? Yer'effing kidding me. I should have waited...

Can you please answer my question?
Why did you go 255 on the front? (I think you are the only member with this set up)
How does it feel?
