You "check the car's history" by either purchasing a CARFAX report or by getting a Mercedes dealer to print you a VMI.
It is illegal for anyone to share their CARFAX account with you and most forums even prohibit asking for this.
If you simply want to look up which equipment was in this car ex-factory, you can subscribe for free to EPC and run a "datacard." http://epc.startekinfo.com
Despite all the expected "convenience" in online reporting, there is no substitute for having a pre-purchase inspection performed by a Mercedes dealer or mercedes-experienced (nothing else) independent mechanic.
