Picture: Back up camera color lines.

So this is a picture of the navi screen of my C300 for some members who are curious about the lines.
The lines do not turn with the wheels turing. IMO, I dont think the line is useful, but it looks cool (make people think as if the camera is OEM ).
Picture: Back up camera color lines.-w204-lines.jpg ...I should have cleaned my screen, lots of dirts lol

Found it on my own...

It actually says SRVC Guide Line, flash got in the way ;P
I changed none to x204.
I had to turn my car off for a minute and turn it back on before it worked.

I THINK my comand has the latest software available for a 2009, my comand was recently replaced, my maps were the latest when I got it back, I think the software is the latest as well.

Talking

These are 2 pictures I found online. we are looking for " HU PARAMETER 4/4". And click "SRVC LINE" ,then choose "X204".

Make sure your screen looks exactly the same as these 2 pictures. Otherewise, I believe you have a different Navi version.

Nicely done, man. And about "had to turn the car off for a minute to make it work", I got another way to do it. Just push the "BACK" botton beside the control knob, all the way back to the front page of the Engineer Menu, then choose "Reset the system". The system will restart itself, and we dont need to wait or turn the car off.

I tried the Hybrid Mpg thing... It did not affect anything. But I turned it off then. It is useless...

BTW, did you adjust your camera to fit the lines?

Bring the car to the dealer and ask them for a update on your command.

The lines are not really that special, you're not missing out on anything big

Dealer won't just update Command because you ask them to they need a reason. This is what I used, Tell them the Bluetooth has an intermitant problem where it cuts in and out on calls to both land and cell phones. There is a TSB out for this problem.

appreciate the help and the tip. I will ask for the COMAND update but last time I did, he said "he didnt have time today and to bring it up again next time" and we all know the MB oil change interval is 10K miles/1 year. So I will bring it up in October.

I believe I can also use the AUX boost excuse, that the aux sound is very low.

Apparently, this option is not available in Canada.
I have the most updated version on my Navi and I only have the "HU PARAMETER option to 3/3".

am i missing something important? i fail to see the advantage of the lines if they don't auto calculate and bend according to speed and steering.

According to speed? Would you assume the car would take into account wheels sliding at high speed?

Dynamic lines disappeared even from the 221 at some point. MBUSA claimed drivers were confused. I don't think static lines do any harm anyway.
