Reset service reminder electronics
Does anyone know how to reset the service reminder? I have a 2010 S400 with 7,500 miles and it's only 8 months old. Service is called for at 10,000 miles or 1 year. I have to acknowledge that service is due with the buttons on the steering wheel each time I start the car, annoying. The dealer said he could do it but I don't want to bother bringing it in and waiting.
Maybe the clock accidentally started ticking when delivered to the dealership or as it left the factory.

I thought the service indicator was adaptive and adjusted its interval to driving habits? Regardless of that, if my 100K (US) car told me it needed service I'd bring it in to the dealer.

This can be done from the steering wheel, but I believe that the procedure is somewhat drawn out. However data bases like All-Data have the specifics. A good Bosch Independent service center ( http://www.boschservice.com/FindSvcC...iceCenter.aspx ) can help with you with this if they are more conveniently located.
