Lowered on H&R springs :PICS:

Had H&R springs installed 2 days ago at FX Auto Design. They did a very clean job at a great price, Highly recommended.
Just need to wait a week or 2 so the springs could settle in a little more.
Here are some pics....

Looks amazing... congrats for pulling the trigger AMG!! You are also lucky to be local to FX, so you can take advantage of their install deal.

BTW, did you used the OEM thicker rear spring pads? Your rear drop looks even with the front... like mine.

Thanks brotha!!
I was on the fence about installing the springs for a while but finally pulled the trigger.
I am using the stock pads in the rear and It looks pretty even.
Have your springs settled lower since you've installed them or are they the same height from day one?

Thank you kind sir!
I would love to be at cars and coffee but I have a ton of work to do this weekend. However, I am planning on going later on this month.
I will PM you when I do, we can even meet up with a few C63's prior to heading out there.

That's sick. Looks really dropped for just springs. Killer wheels too. Let us know how the alignment turns out after it settles down.

I'm surprised your stock spring pads is giving you an even drop front & rear. Most cars with H&R springs sits lower in the back. The springs will settled few mm, but not much. After install I had about 1.5 finger gap but now I can barely put 1 finger.

Question. How do you clean the wheel wells after a drop? I found it difficult on stock suspension.

Wheel well is not that hard since the car is not slammed... the problem I find is when comes the time to apply armor all on the tires, gotta be careful not to touch/mess the fenders.

Tints would have been the first thing I would do to the car aesthetically, but cops are pretty strict in CA. I had a bunch of tickets with my Escalade because of tints and I just want to deal with the hassle.

Thanks Fares, Glad you could drop by that day.
The ride feels pretty much the same as stock, handling seems a little better but that's about it.

Hopefully next time we hang out you will have your 997 Turbo.

Thanks for the input Roswell.
Ive realized this as well, If the rear settles lower then the front then I will probably get #4 pads.

Good question!!
I haven't really went all out cleaning the wheel wells since I know its gonna get dirty the first minute I start driving. I usually rinse it down with the pressure washer.

Looks great. Is FX the ones in N. Hollywood offering the $450 H&R installed special? How long did you have to wait?

^^ same here, my shop here charged me around 400$ (4hours) in labor. What a rip off... you cant's beat FX Auto design deal for 450$ springs + install.

Yes, FX is in N. Hollywood and they are offering $450 for the whole 9 yards (springs+instal) It took them around 1.5-2 hours for the instal.

It really is a great price, that's the main reason why I went with FX.

Was going to mod my car, but will keep it stock a little longer. Wanted to do HR spring, but I just scraped my bumper this afternoon in a downtown parking lot going slower than 1mph. Going in was fine, going out was not. Drop+Arkym=Destroyed CF. Gonna save that money for my father's SLK63. Stock still looks good!
