Midnight Koop's CL203 (attempted revival thread with updates)
just picked up my car from the body shop and figured its a good time to post a few updates.
ok so its been a long time coming since i share some updates. honestly, i've been pretty lazy about it since my original thread got absorbed into the aftermarket headunit thread.
before i post some recent pics... im going to dig around here and find some of the older ones so you can see the progression. (please bare with me)
thanks

About a year ago I was caught in a bad hail storm and it put golf-ball dents all over my hood and side panels...AND was rear ended with stretch marks across my rear bumper. One incident in my mind... but two separate claims under all-state. pretty lame.
it took me forever to get around to fixing... and I figured if I'm getting that done, I might as well fix up everything on the exterior.
I'll do a complete write-up of mods when I have more time.. i'm leaving a lot out, but I wanted to post some old pics to build the progression before I put up these new ones.
Enjoy!
i still have a camber kit, pedals, and other things i need to get around to installing... but i've been busy lately
lets just say... its getting closer to how i want it, but its still a work in progress...

thanks!... i also got the doorhandles painted--minor but definitely a much needed upgrade.
too bad there isn't a lip that fits the amg front for the coupes... that is one thing that's on my list to balance out the renntech spoiler in the rear
thank you! i dunno if i would say that myself... especially with infected, coupecrazy, and saprissa and the others out there..

i'm still hunting for the lip...passively. i got some major body work done. aside from getting out hail dents, i repainted the hood, both bumpers, both doorhandles, one door, and another panel or two... pretty much 80% of the car... so my wallet needs more recovering that i had originally planned. if you come across one let me know! for now i'm continuing the hunt on ebay...

ROOF RACK!
Materials:
-OEM CL203 roof rack base (used)
-(2) Thule Echelon 518 fork mount bike rack (1 new, 1 used -still have to mount)
-(2) Thule xadapt9 kit
-3M paint protection (under mounts)
-alcohol/water spray
-microfiber towel
you gotta deal with the crappy phone pics and dirty car, but here we go... the first one came out clean, then for some reason i didn't realize the lens was dirty for the rest.
i still have the other thule rack to mount, but i got it second hand and needs some cleaning...
the sunroof opens with a small clearance...
and the hatch opens 99.9% of the way and kisses the tail of the rack (i got lucky!)
