PZEV WARRANTY QUESTION
Does anyone know if 2007 E350 PZEV would be covered under 15 years/150,000 mile warranty? I need to replace a fuel tank, which falls into the emission related category.
If anyone knows, please let me know ASAP. I need to contact dealer and get it replaced. I spoke to MBUSA and did not get any info from them. I was under impression that they do not know anything or did not want to talk much. I only heard from them that it is up to the dealer.

PZEV WARRENTY
AS STATED IN SOME OF THE OTHER FORUMS, IF YOUR VEHICLE WAS ORIGINAL SOLD IN CERTAIN ZERO EMMISION STATES IT IS COVERED. I JUST HAD MY FUEL TANK REPLACED OCT 5 2015 AT NO COST TO ME. CALL MERCEDES WARRENTY DIVISION FIND OUT WHAT STATE YOUR CAR WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD IN, MINE WAS CALIFORNIA. CALIFORNIA IS 15YRS OR 150000 MILES. A LOT OF THE DEALERS DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THE WARRENTY AND WILL NOT INVESTIGATE IT, SO THEIR GOING TO SAY IT IS NOT COVERED. WHEN YOU CALL THE WARRENTY DIVISION PUT IN EXT ***** THAT'S ***** SHE IS FAMILAR WITH THE WARRENTY AND IS VERY VERY HELPFUL. SERVICE TECH SUPERVISOR HERE IN HOUSTON TX HAD NO CLUE ABOUT THE WARRENTY. ****** TOLD HIM THAT FUEL TANK WAS COVERED BUT HE INSISITED THE FUEL PUMP IS THE PROBLEM NOT THE FUEL TANK NOT KNOWING IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE TANK. THEN HE SPOKE TO HIS PARTS DEPT, GAVE THEM MY VIN # FIVE MIN LATER HE MAGICALLY HAD AUTHORIZATION TO DO THE JOB. BE VERY PERSISTANT AND DON'T LET THE TELL YOU DIFFERENT.

Ive been through your situation before. Since your car is Pzev, you cant claim your fuel tank issue under fuel tank leak issue extended warranty but you can definitely make a claim under pzev manufacturers warranty and it costs nothing out of your pocket, just let your SA knows about it and he should know what to do.

I have the same model and year...I can confirm I'd your car is under 150k miles it is covered. I just had the gas tank, air intake manifold, spark plugs, fuel injectors and the MAF all replaced for free! My car just passed 100k miles at 102k....

YES! I had my 2004 E320 replaced last year also the ABS brake sensing/pump unit, they extended the warranty on that to 25 years I believe.

Reading this as I have the smell in our 2008 E63. As of Oct 2017, MBUSA sent out a letter to owners saying that covered fuel tank components were now covered to 15 yrs and unlimited miles. Not sure if this applies to all E-Class or not thru 2009, but ours is covered

Is not any sound from fuel pump.
