2016 AMG GT , 2011 C63 AMG
Dead accelerator
I have a very frustrating situation and would appreciate some help . I bought a 2016 AMG GT a few months ago and noticed not long after that there was some kind of acceleration issue . It happens between 50-55 kph when I depress the pedal slowly to increase speed . The pedal is unresponsive for about 3-4 seconds.
I took the car to the main MB dealership is my city and took the head technician for a drive and showed him .
I left the car with them and they tried many things to rectify the problem but haven’t succeeded so far .
There is no error code when scanned . They have contacted AMG in Germany and sent data that they have requested but still not fixed after the car being with them for 6 weeks . It’s at a point now where the dealer will refund me because of the issue but I love the car and really want it fixed .
Has anyone had similar issues ?

I haven’t encountered this exact issue firsthand, but here are a couple of preliminary checks worth considering:
Cruise Control Test: If your vehicle is equipped with cruise control, try accelerating using the ACCEL button. If the car continues to accelerate normally in this mode, it may indicate a problem with the throttle pedal electronics.
ECU Consideration: If the vehicle has been tuned, there’s also a possibility of an ECU-related fault. In that case, it would be advisable to have Mercedes-Benz re-flash the ECU to the factory calibration to rule out software inconsistencies.
