Used GTS are in the mid 80s-90s, pure turbo upgrade + eurocharged tune only costs $3999 for 670 hp on stock downpipes (More with aftermarket exhaust). $4k for the dime coolers, voila... Super GTR for under $8k , all for potentially under $100k all in

I believe my attraction to GTR is the suspension and how it gets power down. A lot more than power IMO.

There is so much more to a GT R than just a few extra horses; I agree. Until the GT BS arrives it remains the top of the ‘food chain’ in the GT line-up regardless of what one does to the GT/GTS. Granted if all you’re worried about is going fast in 1/4 mile increments, then by all means buy a lightly used GT/GTS, add power (cheaply) and be very quick at your local drag race venue. If you want to be rapid in OEM trim around a road course, then you need to buy the GT R.

I used to have 2000 HP Camaro, for far less than 80K. Anything can be made to go fast. It's the whole package that matters.
