Front Brake Pads Same As C63?
Are the front brake pads the same as the w204 C63? I think they are. The rotor appears to be the same and the brake pads do to. I'm having a hard time finding aftermarket pads for the GTS, but think the C63 pads would fit just fine. Anyone know for sure?

If it were me, I would get the correct pads. Why don't you call the dealer and speak to parts? Get the correct part number for your car, and then if you find that part number cheaper somewhere, go for it.
Personally, I do not typically work on my own cars or use independent shops, so I would just let the dealer do it.
How many miles do you have to need pads? or did you track it? Are these pads just for street use?

The front pads on a GT-S are the standard size pad shape # FMSI D1291. Many companies make pads in this size. You can get some from TRW, Hawk, and many others, including Porterfield and Carbotech.
The TRW pad number is TPC1291, and I have run these in my GT-S and they work fine on the street.
The Mercedes part number for the GT-S front pads is 007-420-65-20 which I bought a few months ago from an online Mercedes OEM part vendor for $224.
The Hawk series number for the front pads is HB731x.620 where the letter x is substituted by a letter depending on the compound
Available in compounds:
HPS 5.0
PC
More compounds will be available shortly, and just call Hawk Brakes to get info. Hawk pads are available online from multiple vendors.

Hey everyone,
reviving an old thread, as I'm looking to get some performance/track-ready pads for my GT S and maybe this has been discussed before but I got a bit lost during research.
I found a European shop to get some Pagid RSL29 and they mention that there are two different references for 360mm and 390mm discs and I have to select which I have on my car so that they can send me the proper pads.
I checked on online parts diagramme and it lists for non-ceramic discs (ceramics are 402mm and clearly marked as such in the list), different references for discs that go with silver and red brake calipers.
I would assume that caliper colour was just a cosmetic thing, but that seems to imply that colour in this case also designates actually different brake package.
I checked on online shops the reference for silver calipers and it gives out a 360mm disc, and the red caliper gives a 390mm disc.
Anyone has any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I use the RS29s on my GTC. If the calipers are the same, you want the 8238 in front and 8246 in the rear. I get mine from Northstar Motorsports. Marc there is great. I have bought their inventory, so if you need it quick a direct order may be better. You will probably pay a duty if importing directly.

Thanks again.
Does anyone have a reliable source of performance pads in Europe? (Pagid, Endless, Ferodo)
The shop I tried was totally not helpful, and borderline rude.
I asked what is the estimated time of delivery, and the shop replied "if they're in stock probably end of month", to which the obvious questions is if the guy working for the shop doesn't know the stock, who does?
I usually buy from Demon Tweeks, but they don't carry stock for the relative pads...
