Could you or someone please share the date range of the vehicles that fall into the recall range.
I have a 2016 Edition One, so it's one of the first GTSs. I'm already getting a new transmission for a leak recall. I'm curious if the drive shaft is affected too.
Thank you

I was just about to get on the freeway when this happen instead i was able to pull of to the side and coasted to a safe place where i was able to pull over.
My dealership told me the same think happen to a guy on the freeway and he was barely able to get out of the way of traffic.

In my case there were no warning signs. As a mashed the gas pedal it just made a loud bang and car went into Neutral.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Recall is interesting, it affects 136 cars but calls for any serial # before 322 to be replaced. I wonder what happened to the other 200 driveshafts?
I will attach the bulletins here, in case it helps. GTS driveshaft.pdf

Fixed, but not fully resolved.
Hi Guys,
Here is the update on my car. The car was at the dealership for a total of about 18 days. Finally AMG Germany told them to go ahead and replace the propeller shaft and gave them the part #. My dealer told me that the part with that # was not in the states and was on back order from Germany but it actually came pretty quick.
All and all i have now had the car back for couple of weeks and it is working fine with no issues.
One think that was pretty cool i i contacted MBUSA and asked them to pay for one month of my lease because the car was stuck at the dealership for so long. They did some research with the dealership and actually agreed to pay for the lease for one month. I actually got the check a few days ago.
I am pretty satisfied of how MBUSA handled the situation.

My car is a late July 15 build but was not on recall list.
Car is operating normally, but I plan to sell in a year.

oh that is so weird.
I got this error in December 2018, just the error, no noticeable problems except my parking brake didn’t seem to be engaging properly when I stopped to test it. I tried to restart the car and the message remained so I took it in. They told me the car needed a software update.
They had my car for a month while they worked again on my wiggly drivers seat issue.
i had them do the drive shaft recall back in summer 2017 iirc, mine was checked and fine.
thanks for posting the picture
I’ve had my car back for 3 weeks and the seat is good and the error hasn’t returned
