Lowering an AMG GT C Coupe

I'm getting ready to lower my new AMG GT C Edition 50 - only want to do about 1/2" to 3/4" inches. Over the past ten years of lowering all of my Mercedes I have had it done through a shop by either altering the height of the sensors or through the MB Star program they had there. My current 2015 S550 was also done this way. Can the GT be lowered the same way? That's what I've been told by various shops, but wanted to get some input from the forum here. I tend to prefer doing it that way as it's never affected the ride at diff settings at all and has always worked in the past. Thoughts?

AMG GTC Edition 50
I lowered my AMG GTC Edition 50 with KW HAS springs. The ride is a little bit stiffer. But looks a lot better. Dropped it At least an inch

The other vehicles you’ve lowered have all had the ‘air’ springs I’m assuming which the GT cars don’t use. Hence you can’t lower them in the same fashion; you have to use different springs

Correct, springs or coilovers will be necessary. Coilovers will allow for an adjustment of the ride height after installation, but of course are more expensive.

You are talking about a full c/o setup that pulls the springs and dampers out--- to retain the oem dampers, the KW HAS is just fine and I have that on my GTS (I cant find an application yet for the GTC though)

As for H&R they dont have a specific product yet for the GTC only for the GTS and that wont fly.

Thanks for bumping this up. I too never got a clear answer on it.
Are there any lowering springs that work well with the AMG Dynamic and Ride Control? so the suspension stiffness and damping can still work?
