I've taken my GTS to the 1/4 mile track and ran an 11.3 at 126.7. Really wasn't too much different than stock. It is about traction. I feel my car actually launched better without the tune but clearly once it hooks there's more power with the tune. I raced my 458 with my GTS pre tune and post tune. Pre tune they were about dead even. With the tune my GTS pulls away..... and bad. Think of this. My 996TT ran 11.2's at 125 consistently with a simple tune but it put the power down quick.

I took a while looking at the data sheets on Weistec's site. When you compare the tune & DPs, to the tubo upgrade, HP number are very similar from 1000-6000. Only in the last 1000 or so does the power go up with the upgrade and down with the tune, resulting in a big oeak HP difference, but a smallish "area under the curve" difference.

And it's the "area under the curve" that matters. A generation ago Smokey Yunick proved that. If you want a very informative, and entertaining read, get his "Best Damn Garage In Town". Also, "Walkin' Under A Snakes' Belly", and "All Right You Sons-A-*****es, Let's Have A Race!", Carbon Press. A Hillbilly who had forgotten more about making HP and going fast than most automotive engineers of his time ever knew.

I’m making 564 WHP and 695TQ with nothing but a custom tune (just need someone who is good at tuning to do the job). The tune is also safe. This is in Salt Lake City where the air is thin and air quality sucks. Pure 1000s, downpipes with 200 cel, intercoolers and meth injection coming over the winter season.
