Hi I am looking at buying a gts edition 1 it's only done 3,100 miles and is now 22 months old however it still hasn't had its first service, should I be concerned? It's condition is like new it's and it's never been driven in the rain. Opinions please

I wouldn't be too concerned. I would get the first service and oil change done right away though. Visit my post

Let the dealer tell you when the SERVICE A should be done.

Be sure to understand when your NEW CAR 4 year warranty expires and also if the car is eligible for the MB extended warranty. Don't delay on these issues!

Besides being valuable while you own the car, a transferrable warranty is of significant value come trade or sell time.

How did you determine that the car is an Edition 1?

I'm almost at the end of the so-called "break-in" period. When is the first Merc scheduled GT service? I'm seeing the first service at 10,000 miles for Service A and that is what the car display is telling me, Is this right? If this is correct, are you waiting? Or what have you guys been doing in terms of time/mileage for the first service?

The SERVICE A is essentially the initial fluid change, component and safety check and miscellaneous software updates.

The car will let you know when to do it via a message on the dash.

Also, Start making a "punch list" of items you would like to have corrected or inspected while your GT is in the shop.
