Most dealerships are independent business who will charge what the traffic will bear. Expect to see ADM on many cars. It was the case with the GTS when they first came out. My local dealership had one with an ADM of $25,000. No, he didn't get it...but it brought in a lot of traffic and many customers offered way above MSRP.

The first order cancels or allocations that arrive, unspoken for, will all have "market adjustments" on the msrp- especially here in California. And in some cases they will get it and in others they will have to adjust down but still make more than MSRP. The early adopter mentality being applied of course.
I didnt wait for the market to subside on my GTS and got it at MSRP 2 days after it arrived at the store. That was back in 2015.

My dealership has an inbound unsold unit, they keep hitting me up asking if I am interested, now they are even talking discounting it off MSRP. I guess reality just hit for all the pipe dreamers that thought this was going to be something special and be an instant collector car.

As you well know inbound and delivered are worlds away.

I am sure it's more than two cars. My local MB dealership is in a very affluent area and month after month it's the number 1 or 2 volume sales leader in their region. If they are having trouble selling a GTR in Naperville I guarantee they are having trouble selling them in some other areas of the country as well. MB Naperville had people offering them $25K over MSRP for several of my Black Series, there is no shortage of customer or money here when it comes to high demand vehicles. Before I sold my Edition 1 my dealership told me there were 4 people in Naperville with GT-S Edition 1's purchased from other dealers, one guy even lives in my neighborhood.

Hey Brother! Hope you're well. Btw, killer RS7!
Yep I'm getting the usual BS run-around trying to get an allocation for a new 991.2 GT3, so I'm looking at the GT R. Since I intend to track it, it will probably be faster anyway and I've grown addicted to the torque of my Z06 so the extra torque of the Benz versus the Porsche will be nice.
What about you? Still going to wait awhile until the 'excitement' in CA dies down a little?

I am actually considering a vert so the GTC has piqued my interest as well; I wont be tracking the car whether its a GTR or otherwise so the GTC might make more sense from a dual personality standpoint.

So here is the latest from my MB sales person in south Florida on the release of the GTR "....Just called distribution. They are waiting certification. They now say it is hopeful for end of month. The person I speak to at distribution says she gets 30 calls a day on the GTR....". Getting closer...

Hi,
I'm in Ontario, Canada.
My 2018 GT C is stuck at the port, any ideas why? is it the certification issue? any idea when it will be completed?
Dealership told me they don't know, it might be a few weeks or months.
Thanks.

The Canadian Government are too slow on completing the certification for GT C 2018
I can't wait anymore!!
I hope it doesn't get stuck in the port for one year like what happened to the CLS 400 I believe.
