Mercedes GTS Edition 1
AMG GTS Dynamic Plus Package?
I am currently looking at two GTS Edition 1 cars one has the the AMG Dynamic Plus package and the other doesn't apart from that they are identically priced. I will probably not use this car on the track but I haven't ruled it out. My main concern is comfort on long journeys with my wife, and what would be the best for everyday use, I did read that the dynamic package made the car more uncomfortable? The other thing to consider is would it be easier to sell in the future with this package. I would appreciate any views on this.
Thanks
Steve

Consensus is that it affects comfort, although I don't believe anyone has back-to-backed 2-cars, trying all modes to confirm how compromised ride comfort actually is, plus if you can dial it down in Comfort Mode for example.
Also, good info in this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/amg-gt-gt...ing-stock.html
Re saleability, who really knows.

IMO, Sport+ is too hard for the street, as you do feel the surface far more than Comfort and Sport. If DPP is harder all round then you could be down to Comfort only for street, with the rest only suitable for track!

I owned a GT-S Edition 1 and I thought all of them came from the factory equipped the exact same with the exception of the only two options being exterior paint colors in other parts of the world(US models were all grey) and a radio upgrade. Maybe someone can verify but I thought that was the case.

Yes, very different in the US.
In Europe, Edition-1 is simply a package available for a limited time, from which you build your car as usual.

My recollection is that all the US Edition 1 cars came only one way and MB gave each dealer one without allocation requirement to get them in front of potential buyers. My small dealer had no allocations yet had one on their showroom floor which is now in my garage.

Yes, that's what I thought too. I think globally the only options were colors and a stereo upgrade, while US models were all equipped the same and only available in Selenite grey

I took a Dynamic Plus package car for a drive today. I haven't take a non-DPP car for a drive yet, so no direct comparison.
But I wasn't unhappy with the harshness of the ride with the DPP. It seems in the same ballpark as a lot of high performance cars I've driven over the years (Vettes, etc).

Took my first post-break-in spin down the highway in S+ today (with DPP). In my humble opinion, THIS is what God intended.
Get the DPP. Don't miss this. Any occasional, perceived stiffness by the passenger will be offset 10x by the smile on your faces. Even my totally non-car-girl wife had a huge grin and said, "ok, now I get it".
