Any Interest to Pursue a 'Group Buy' for a Tune?

Tiff - I thought to share my last PM here for you to answer because others may have the same question. I'm personally not interested in racing this car or quarter mile times, per se. Eeking out the last 5-10% of potential or the turbo's isn't a priority. Although I'll tune for 93-octane, I'm just as concerned with long term reliability and durability. Intended use is well within the sweet spot of the power band.
Yet others have different goals. Since we can't all be present during the tuning process, would you mind explaining how the tunes can be customized, if at all?

You can let us know what type of fuel you're using; 91, 93, race gas. You can also give us your elevation, what you intend to use the car for; road racing, quarter mile, etc. You just have to communicate what you want. We will try to work with you. (:

I feel so conflicted now. I had decided not to tune my GT. This price is really low though, AND I freaking live in Houston. I could literally just drive down there without shipping my ECU.

Lets get it done! Maybe you could be the first to use the new Dyno Cell we just built

I'm in - just figuring out how to remove ECU. Looks like the Eurocharged numbers are the same as Renntech

To get this back on track, TIFF has indeed departed EC but I am assured the offer of $1100 is in deed good through July.
Maybe the posters who don't own GT/S's can give us some space to give credit to a vendor where credit is due.

The Eurocharged ECU tune is a beast - very happy with mine thanks to Philip over there. After 3500 RPM this thing is unstoppable. Highly recommended. I am also getting more exhaust crackles which is also good. Seriously no reason to go with any other company as this $1100 group buy is a great deal and way less expensive than Renntech or Brabus. Thanks to Eurocharged for supporting this group buy. You have my support.
ECU came back very clean.

I'm not aware of any tuners (other than maybe Brabus) that have R&D and ecu unlocking/ decompiling knowledge in house to build tunes from scratch... so, from what I understand, most tuners use Dimsport for the maps - if that is the case then all vendors tunes should be about the same...

Yes I believe that all the tunes are about the same it seems to all be a generic tune that lifts some software restrictions to extract the 600+ HP/LB FT torque from these engines. Whether you go Renntech, Brabus, Eurocharged or Dime, it seems the results are the same hence why I went with the Eurocharged because you cannot beat the price and many on this forum said good things about them.
As far as results all I can say is that the acceleration feels faster than any car I have owned including the same if not slightly faster than a 911 Turbo. I never owned a McLaren 570 but I HAVE extensively test driven it and my Eurocharged tuned GTS is much faster.
At $1100 you can't beat the price. Renntech wants $3500 + $195 for shipping (very ridiculous as overnight FedEx with 10:30am delivery cost me $75) and another $150 for "labor" plus sales tax since I am in California: total around $4000 WTF. Brabus wants even more. To add insult to injury when I asked my Renntech dealer if I could get a better price they said they would be losing money if they gave me any sort of discount!! WOW...$4000 vs $1100 it's a no brainer.
I also called other tuners to see if they could match the Eurocharged price and none could but they also did not say anything bad about Eurocharged and one even said "for that price you should jump on it."

Pre/post tune.....
so I had the GTs on the dyno before shipping off the ECM to eurocharged and it produced 503HP 534TQ at the wheels. This did seem a bit high for a stock vehicle but none the less I proceeded to ship off the ECM. Once eurocharged got it they assured me it had a stock untouched tune, turned it around with their tune and shipped it back. I did the post dyno tune a few days ago and it put down 525HP and 575TQ. Not tremendous gains but I think I had one that was bumped up from the factory. BTW this was on a 4 wheel mustang dyno

Thanks for posting some real before and after numbers. I have a GT and not the S as I was planning some suspension and tuning and didn't see the point with the S. These numbers are where I was hoping to get to. I'm sending mine off this week and will also do a before and after on the same dyno. Beefing up traction will be next on the list....

This makes a lot of sense. The AMG engines due to them being hand built and other factors tend to vary in their actual finally dyno numbers which is why Mercedes conservatively states their HP numbers. Your wheel HP numbers are way higher than what would be Mercedes numbers based on their crank HP which also explains why Car and Driver constantly gets 3.0 second 0-60 numbers because the car comes in at much higher stock HP numbers than Mercedes states.

Based on the price for turbos from Renntech / Weistec / Eurocharged this seems to be a great deal.
Possibly combine the $3000 turbo kit from pure with the $2000 downpipe kit from eurocharged and bump up an additional 100HP.
A potential 735 HP and 800 TQ at the crank. I guess after that I will need racing slicks, it may be too much for the vehicle and no longer fun to drive...
