Active Safety question

So I have an allocation for a GT R which I will be using for both the street and HPDE purposes. I'd like to order the Distronic Plus and the Lane Keeping Package, but only if these systems can be completely disabled when on the road course.

Those of you with a GT/GT S that have the above options, can you tell me whether they can be 100% turned off when driving?

TIA,
Bish

Yes. Yes they can.

Race mode. Turns most of it off. You have to go into the safety menus to turn the balance off.

Thank you sir; just want I wanted to see. I've also sent an email to MB to try and confirm that every active safety feature can be turned off.

Since I'll be driving the car on the highway as well as at HPDEs I'd really like to keep Distronic Plus as ACC is very useful, but if there's any chance active safety couldn't be turned off I'd delete those options.

However given how track focused this car is it would be staggering if it wasn't possible to defeat 'active safety'.

I discussed this here.
No issued for the streets but it is annoying on the track.

The GT-R is supposed to have a less intrusive software but it currently cannot be disabled on the GT/S.
I would reach out to AMG Germany to confirm before purchasing the car.

Thanks for the above. One of the posters above mentioned that you can go under the 'Settings' menu and manually turn off the active safety features. Did the instructors not mention that? Perhaps deliberately?

The settings will deactivate distronic but will not do anything related to the pre-safe.
After it freaked me out and nearly choked me for 10 seconds, I asked the instructors and they said it cannot be disabled but will be less intrusive in the GTR.
