Why so many used GTs for sale?
There are 141 used AMG GTs for sale on Autotrader, 104 are 2016 models. This represents roughly 9% of the total US allocations for 2016.
Are AMG GT owners unsatisfied with the car? Are there problems with reliability? Or is everyone simply upgrading to something newer or better?
I ask because I am looking to buy a second hand GTS in the next year, and this number of vehicles for sale is a bit concerning.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Trade up-itus. Many keep their cars 1-2 yrs and get bored.
I generally lease and trade in every 2-3 yrs.
i will likely keep my Gts 3-4 years. By then, I'll either sell it or give it to my now 17 yo son. I will get an old man sedan s550 at that time

I asked the same question a year ago, and bought one anyhow.
My thoughts are...
The 2016's are not GT cars. In the softest setting they'll beat the crap out of you if your roads are like Austin's. I'd never commute in this car. I think some of the people buying this car thought it was something different than it is. Combine that with the normal turnover of high end sports cars and 9% sounds right or even low.
Around town or on the highway, I prefer my C63, hands down.
Empty back-roads on a Sunday morning? The GTS is glorious.
