is Mclaren 570s better buy than AMG GT-S ??
I just saw the new Mclaren 570s it is priced at 185,000
I am getting my AMG GT - S after a month from now.
so I was wondering if I should cancel my AMG GT-S order and buy the 570s????
I am not sure if the 570s is better in terms of reliability and I am not sure it is good for daily drive?
here is the link for first look
and let me know if I should keep my AMG GT-S order or go with Mclaren 570s

Id want to know acquisition realistic price of the 570 compared to the gts price and the 570 looks lower than the gts... Is it as practical on normal roads??
Stunning car the mclaren, however and has more stage presence than the gts IMHO
I'd try and check that 570 out ASAP before you take delivery

the price difference for 570s in my country is about $40,000 USD higher than the GTS.
I agree with you that it is a stunning car. however i do not know how practical it is on normal road
the Mclaren 12c has so many software issues and some rental companies do not stock Mclaren cars becuase of reliability issues.
so not sure yet

Mclarens have some serious reliability issues. I have two good friends that had 12c's and had nothing but problems, one had ecu and electronics issues the other broke two transmissions on his car that was never tracked. Both guys have since traded in their 12c one forma GT3 and the other for a 458. One of them has a P1 allocation he more or less gave to me if I want the car but I am not sure I want the risk as I have heard of a few issues with P1's cropping up now. You will not find a more reliablemcar than an AMG...PERIOD!

I'm a huge fan of McLaren as well... but both cars at the Malaysia F1 race did not finish due to equipment failure. They were previously powered by Mercedes engines/technology in 2014. Now they have partnered with HONDA for some crazy reason in 2015 and they use Honda tech. I really hope that does not translate into the consumer vehicles.

I felt that the 12c could provide a more compliant ride than my S550 and with a change of suspension settings, be firmer than my 911. Mclaren really mishandled the whole 12c experience that resulted in the massive depreciation. If their new cars are sorted out they could be a good choice.

Sometimes the pains of ownership of a car are justified by how awesome it is when it's working correctly
Perhaps this is the case for the mclaren... If it's your daily driver then get the amg
If it's a garage queen ... Who cares of it has warranty issues... They'll get sorted out and you have other cars in yur stable to drive while it's being serviced

Tell that to my friend Asad whom owned his for 18 months and whose car was in the shop probably 9 of those 18 months whose stable of cars is bigger than mine and yours combined. The car was plagued with transmission issues plus various other smaller problems. They are junk heaps. I have a chance to pick up a new P1 this summer and as much as I am tempted I think I am goung to pass as I have heard of a few issues cropping up with the P1's as well. Mclaren is rushing these cars to market...typical British car manufacturer behavior. Great looking cars, great when they run but when there are issues they are big issues.

Lol, now that you mention it the same guy Asad had a Gallardo lemon lawed about four years ago....maybe he is the problem. I know a few guys that own Ferarri's including Asad and nothing jumps out at me, at least nothing like the Mclaren issues I have seen. I am sure all car manufacturers have some issues here and there but I have two friends that live within six miles of me and both their 12C's were in the shop alot and I mean ALOT!

Every one of my AMG"s has been trouble free for the most part, even with all the crazy modifications and many track events I participate in I have had no major mechanical issues. I had an issue with a fual pump or fuel line gasket on my CLK BS, peeling carbon fiber on my C BS and an issue with the hood on my SLS BS but nothing mechanical. The funniest thing is the Mercedes I have had the most issues with is my wifes bone stock 2013 GL, it has been in the shop for brake issues and a couple of electrical issues in the 20 or so months we have owned it. She has had three ML's that were trouble free but this GL is junk. Her lease is up in a few months and she will either be going back to an ML, maybe the AMG version or GLE 63 which is what the new ones are now called or up to a G63.

Anyways, not sure if your friends got bad cars, early builds or just beat the crap out of the cars, all I can say is Mclaren has treated me well and been a pleasure of a company to deal with.
And for full disclosure , I am a big fan on M-B, bought 10 cars in the last year 10 years and due to pick up #11, this May 2015 SL550 Lunar Blue, Nappa Porcelain/Black, Black Ash.

Just had new tires put on our SL and the shop has this McLaren P1 standing around.
It is one stunning piece of hardware, no matter the potential reliability issues
Just check out those rear wings!
