Question Radar Detector-- Pass Through

Does the AMG GT windscreen have a special area that allows passthrough for infrared like the S class?

I have looked at the manual a few times but can't find information on that.

Red face Radar Detector Update

Could not find any information so I called the folks at MBrace and they appear to have specialists trained on the AMG GT who went to check their data.

According to their information the windscreen on this car does not have that special coating and therefore one can use whatever area one wants to.

I really hope they are right.

From everything I've seen (seeing multiple differently specced GTs in person) they don't have the IR coating on the windshield so you should be fine. IR glass is typically purply blue under certain angles and lighting conditions and I didn't experience that when looking at and sitting behind the wheel of the GT.
