I haven't got under my GTS yet but I think the tips are removable (not attached via a weld) so I might source a set from the dealer and try them on. Those pipes on the white look like all the others as you mentioned.

Yes I'd bet the tips are physically disconnected, I believe that trend was started by Lexus and now seems very prevalent. Since the tips are largely ornamental, and they vibrate and get very hot when welded to the exhaust, I assume it allows for a cleaner integration into the rear fascia/diffusor.
