AMG GT/GT S Picture Thread
#128
Hi,
That is the sum total of my restoration efforts. I was hankering for something beautiful, and while looking for a used SLS at a dealership in the Southwest, spied this gorgeous loaded AMG GTS which just came in, and fell in love with it. I bought it on the spot, much to the surprise of the salesman. Probably the easiest "sell" he ever made! It was on the dealer floor for all of two hours.
The two jeeps are from left to right a 1971 Jeepster Commando (Kaiser), and a 1950 Jeepster VJ.(******) the VJ was the last true Phaeton to be manufactured in the US. The Commando has a V6 rated at 160 hp. It has an automatic three speed transmission and of course 4 wheel drive.
Great beach vehicle!

I can definitely tell its a bit harsher with the 305/25/21s back there but its manageable. The 21s in the rear definitely fill the wheel well nicely.
Its like when girls where those heels that are a bit uncomfy but they slay.

Sony ....very sporting
Noticed you smoked rear lights. I went lighter with some vinyl and I'll post later.
Did you leave front lights alone. ? I can't find an optically clear tint for fronts.

Yes - I had my shop tint my tails with some film. I think they used 50%. It's a bit darker than I'd like... makes it hard to see the taillight design. I'm considering redoing them a bit lighter or taking them off.
Fronts are left alone though I'm on the hunt for some euro lights to get rid of the embedded reflector.

The blue wrap looks sick. Wish I knew of a reputable place down here for wraps.
