Will the GTS do a burnout?

Will the GTS do a burnout?
Please don't start flaming the newbie....it's a simple question. I am assuming that MB /AMG have introduced many electronic gizmos in order to optimize off the line acceleration, and prevent wheel slippage.

Very easily... ESP OFF- Race mode- mash and enjoy. I can create wheelspin easily in this set up and that's pre tune.
One could probably do it with ESP in Sport or Normal. I has 476 lb/ft of stock torque and it is RWD.

I figured there was a way to defeat the traction control, just hadn't experimented. I can tell you that it will not break the rear tires off the line in comfort mode.

After reading the manual a bit more, I found out that pressing and holding the ESP button will completely turn off traction control....I'd say I answered my own question pretty quickly. Not that I go around spinning the tires off the line everywhere I go, but every once in a while it feels good. I'm coming from an Audi RS5 that accelerated like crazy, but unless you were in launch mode, there was no breaking the tires loose.
This is my first AMG, so I'm getting to know her before I drive her hard. I had an M5 before the RS5, and there were so many damn settings in the iDrive that you never knew what was set to what. I decided to just set up my M button so that everything was off. It was a look of fun. There's something to be said about a boat that's breaking the tires loose shifting to 3rd!

For future reference: 1) One push of the ESP button engages "ESP Sport/Sport Handling Mode"; 2) Pushing and holding the ESP button turns the ESP "Off."
"ESP Sport" allows a greater degree of wheelspin but the car will bail you out of trouble if you get really sideways. With "ESP Off," you're pretty much on your own.
FWIW, unless you're really good at correcting oversteer, I would not recommend using "ESP Off" on the streets/in wet conditions (particularly if you're heavy on the throttle going around corners).
Enjoy.

Vic recommended turning the ESP off in the first reply to this thread. But, glad you were able to find more information in the manual.

Yep, I just didn't refer on how to do it LOL
FWIW I use ESP Sport in my Individual Mode.
