iPhone mount

So I've been trying to figure out a solution for this as well. On my C63, I use a CD slot mount:
Since our CD slot is located in the cup holder, I don't think it'll fit correctly (haven't tried yet though). I've been using a small vent/magnetic mount but since our vents are so flimsy, it moves out of position pretty easily:
So now I'm thinking of a power socket mount to hold my phone and provide power to it. This is the one I ordered:
It's a Scosche MAG12VB. It arrives tomorrow so I'll let you know my findings. Only thing I'm worried about is since the power socket faces the opposite direction, if the gooseneck will allow me to turn the mount to face me.

No CarPlay in GTS
Yeah, no unfortunately CarPlay in 2016 GTS according to my dealer. Not sure if the '17s have it though. Unfortunate because even the 2016 Kia Minivan that we rented for our last family vacation had CarPlay. Funny where MB cuts corners or just ignores fairly useful and likely easily incorporated technology.

It was really hard for me to find a good phone mount for gts.
1) Distance from the windshield and dash is far
2) Air Vents are not heavy enough to support the vent clip and phone weight. Your phone would be hanging down all the time
I got this suction mount (link bellow) and put it on top of dash between multimedia screen and speedometer's pannel. it fits really well and has been holding steady for 3 weeks already. Ill take a picture for better descrition.

Make sure you push it all the way in. Also has to be the top slat. It may hang a little down but doesn't bother me. If you have a heavy case it mas be a problem.
I use the Kenu large size.

Tried KENU - at the dealer. Still waiting till Jan for mine.
Kind of flimsy even in top.
Have to believe there are better solutions out there
would loooove to see other GT(S) phone mount pictures....

I have my charger plugged in under armrest the cable comed out near the handle. Plug it in first then slide it into Kenu simple and easy. I've done all day power launches with this setup no problems. I use a very light case. Like I said if you have a big case or battery case this probably won't work because of weight.

I’ve gone through a few of the mounts listed above but was never truly happy with any of the solutions, mainly due to the way they detract from this beautiful interior. The cup holder mount was my latest, and while it was very functional, it rattled, prevented me from closing the carbon fiber cup holder door, and only allowed me to transport one drink.
On to my solution...I have a Limitless 3.0 phone case from Mous, which is compatible with their own proprietary magnetic mounts (read: I don’t believe other phone cases with simple metal sleeves will work with these mounts, but I haven’t tried it). I already had Mous’s Limitless 3.0 vent mount for use in the wife’s car. Rather than explaining how it’s mounted, I’ll let the pics do the talking. The mount is almost impossible to see without the phone on it, unless you’re specifically looking for it.
I also ran a 10’ Anker lightning cable from the center console up the driver side A-pillar and routed it to my phone. The end of the cable easily tucks out of sight when not in use and the rest of the cable is completely hidden behind interior panels.

From driver’s perspective:
Needless to say, you can’t use the visor and the phone at the same time, but I’ve yet to use the visor in this car. In the few instances where I may need to, I can simply go without the phone being immediately viewable. No issues without it falling off the mount, even during spirited driving.
