Whats not working for you California John? Mine works no problem.
Car has to be warm, and not just the enigine I think. I think you need to drive 10 miles or more.
Put it in Sport + or Race
Come to a complete stop and put your left foot on th brake.
Pull both paddles and it asks you if you want race launch
Let go of the paddles and then pull the right on to confirm
Plant the gas pedal to the floor and listen to the fun engine noises while it holds at 3500 rpm or so
Let go of the brake and keep your foot planted on the gas
Fun!

I get to the part where I pull the right paddle to confirm race start. I do that and then comes the message to depress the gas pedal. I mash it but half way through the pushing the gas pedal to the floor (keeping brake pedal down hard) the message, "race start cancelled" comes on the screen. I am sure it is user error...but I can't figure it out. And, to be clear to get to that point all the fluids are plenty warm and the car is pointed straight ahead.

I still don't understand why Benz cant make a more functional launch control = simple and easy to do over and over like Porsche.
Porsche= stop, left foot brake, right foot accelerate, wait for launch control to display (usually 1 second), let go of brake = baaaaaam zero to 60 in 2.6 ish (991 Turbo S)
lather, rinse, repeat

I remember my years racing my Swift DB2 in SCCA. The faster you were with it, the higher you pushed its limits, the more planted it became. The car stuck flat out through turn 9 at Willow Springs. What a joy as it slid to the edge and wonderfully straightened out as you gained all the extra speed down the front straight. When you underdrove it and were timid, it was a handful.
