In the UK you have absolutely no chance of buying this car unless you've got a very strong buying history from your dealer(a 918 purchase would help!).
My main reason for buying the GTR is that I'm sick of trying to suck up to porsche salesmen to get a car.

GT2RS form only and 500 cars is what I've been told.

A have the new 17 turbo s and it's a fantastic car. My first Porsche.
I'm waiting for the GT BS to come out. I have my MB dealers first and probably only allocation for the car.

I've had my name down for GT BS for 2 years now. I was told by MBUK here that this is no queuing system for Blackseries and that they'll be allocating cars as they see fit, apparently this is a reaction to flippers.

The direction of AMG putting the AMG badge on everything with a steering wheel has soured me to the brand. So if they don't do right by the BS I'll be completely done with the brand.
The GTR should definitely put you in good standing.

I called customer support about getting that 500$ appreciation
applied to a GT and within seconds of giving my name they had every Benz I had ever bought last 20 years and asked about the CL ( and the recent service) and was I trading .....really impressive. This is their 911 killer and don't think they don't realize some of Porsche owners recent angst on limited models. They will support GTR buyers who want a black IMO.

THE WAIT-- Yea, and we don't know how long.
I am wondering when the next "batch" of GTR's will be made available and if it will only be to the same dealers.
I am confirmed for a GTS BLACK when it shows up in a couple of years.

That could be a big deal if MB/AMG does the right thing with the black. We could have a car that holds its value after being driven off the lot.
If I get any info I'll pass on to you guys.

Hey guys, booked my order and got the most recent scoop...
So AMG pulled a fast one on all the dealers. AMG locked options the order books an astonishing only 4 days after the dealers were warned opened!!! Dealers were panicking to say the least lol
Those options you see are IT .. Nothing else.
UPDATE: PAK interior black night package is now standard (hence why price was never provided)... Exterior black night package is standard too.
If you want a ton of options you have to get the GTC. The GTR only has 3 interior stitching colors, that's it, all black leather, no cross stitching available (unfortunately). There will not be any other options.
Also if you get the extended interior option (alcantara roof and extended interior lighting), you have to get the interior carbon fiber interior package.
Also you cannot get carbon fiber sills and illuminated door sills. You have to pick & choose either / or (kind of weird to be honest)

I ordered a Selenite Grey GTR the day they opened the orders, only issue is that i had to order out of state due to the limitations... NO price yet , however most of the dealers in California want a dealer markup that i refused. I think this is going to be a great car and due to my disappointment that i have developed for Porsche in the past 8 years or so , this was a great option.

LOL, conversions based on european prices are never accurate, and the currency exchange rates can fluctuate constantly .....

Why? The GTC is a GTR roadster with the carbon wide body and the much wider wheels & tires. It has a lot more common with GTR than the normal GTS. I actually think it's the best deal because you have so many more interior options and etc
The only thing GTC does not get is the 9 stage traction control system for the track, and the rear diffuser.
