Cardinal Red or Mars Red
Going to order an AMG GT (not going for GTS because I don't want a crappy suspension for daily use).
I can't decide which red to opt for. the cardinal red seems too much darker than my needs and it is a metallic color as far as I can tell. Mars red seems to be a glossy color which will tend to look like S*** after a few years out in the sun (stock gloss black color on my S and E Classes has started to look like S***ty and sort of pale and non-glossy after 3-5 years).
Please express your opinions here to help me decide.

I have a Cardinal red SL550 and my daughters drive a C250 Coupe and C300 sedan in Mars red. If you want red/red, get the Mars red, on the other hand Cardinal red takes on different colors depending on the light situation. In low light, shade, garages, overcast it looks great however in bright sunlight, it takes on a red/orange hue, not to my liking, so I suggest you check it out before you place the order.

Mars is a much cleaner color. Cardinal can look brownish or rootbeer color at night under certain light, my best friend bought his wife a cardinal red GLE and he(and she) both hate it. They said it looked great in the showroom under florescent lights and great out in the sunlight but dull and ugly(their words not mine) at night.

My opinion is you should get a GTS. Who says the suspension is crappy? Mine is just right on regular days in comfort and just right on agro days in other settings.

Mars is for sports cars.
Cardinal is for an older sedan like a Caddy
LOL I joke ... a little.

Mars is more for race/sports cars while Cardinal is for an older buyer and a sedan
Cardinal just strikes me as a color on Caddy sedan.

That comment of mine was not meant for you it was meant for Gojirra9 when he commented about "nobody cares what it looks like at night".
I owned an SLS Black Series in Mars Red and I can tell you that it is a stunning color for a sports car. It's a very deep and rich but still a very bright red.

In retrospect I should have kept it, not because it is going up in value but because it was a more dependable track car than my GT-S, even modified pushing close to 900hp it was more dependable. I simply got rid of it because the GT was promised to be a superior car and I didn't feel I needed both along with so many other toys. I did make money on it,, I got about $50k over MSRP so I still didn't do too badly, drove it a year and a half, raced it at several Optima Ultimate Street Car events across the country and a few other track days and autocross events and about a half dozen airstrip events and a few drag strip events.

The only difference between GT and GTS is mechanical differential, a " detune" and the lack of the option of active suspension and engine mounts, which is an option on the GTS.
In 2017, AMG adopted multimatic shocks and changed hydraulic steering feel on non active cars. That said your car shocks are identical to GTS stock, but should feel more adaptive.
