So let me say, this is a great offset to the GTS... just a different way to skin a cat so to speak. V10 NA vs. V8 TT, RWD vs AWD, etc. I had a want to have a V10 and the Lambo ran its course.
ADD of car ownership has yet to subside and compared to the Lambo (just was too wild and not functional) its the better car for me. I took a few test drives of the new R8 and decided to grab one. Its a non plus; yes I went this way for a few reasons. I have already tuned it to 60 more whp which is about 75 bhp and the car already is rated above the 540 bhp from the factory; so right there the gap is covered and passed. I also get the magnetic shocks vs the fixed ones in the Plus. That's not a huge deal but the MagRide is very very comfortable and flat and arguable more planted than my GTS. While I like the wing and the CCB's- they are not necessary and the factory pricing I get made it a huge swing. So that's it, I have this car now and its nice to be in a NA V10 car that I will use more frequently. Obviously there are others out there: Turbo S, 570S, and a few more but I already have a Turbo S modded and the McLaren still hasn't got to me but I'm sure it will
Anyways this car is in Suzuka Gray which is hard to discern in the pics but at night it really darkens up. Its a nice change to my whites that I have. The steering and suspension are awesome along with the grip and chassis feel. I love the interior and the MMI system isn't all too bad with the giant TFT screen. Its just a great overall car with speed, awd, handling, v10 sound, and a good cockpit. The DSG is so smooth and the car is just flat out easy to drive. Its a very confident inspiring car in the right moments and 160+ mph comes easy (especially with the tune). It might feel just a slight bit faster down low than the Huracan but the H car is lighter and can pull better up top but its a driver's race. I might still mod it via lowering, exhaust (more V10 song is never bad), but for now its stock which might concern me LOL.

The R8 does require one to be on it a bit more than the GTS, meaning the tq and hp curves are rather steep and the sweet spots are above 5500 rpm but I have had those types before. Today I drove my C63S which is tuned and has a boatload of tq and dang its a night and day feel in that regard yet running 120 in the Audi feels slower than 120 in the Benzes. And of course launching this thing is a breeze. I loved my Huracan but it just wasnt getting the use and this car will be a true driver to lets say... bank, mall, grocery store and I wont have to be extra careful about parking it like I was with the H car. Ill chime in more as I drive it and update.

Perfect int/ext color and wheel choices!
Stunning car. Best colors and wheels I've seen on an R8. Local dealer stocks dark colors, which IMHO don't do this design justice like Suzuka gray (sky color for many of the F1 races there?). All the best for miles and miles of enjoyment with your new ride. Thanks for the intro.

Thanks guys, Ive had a 2012 R8 V10 but this is a huge morph over the previous iteration. The interior, tranny (huge), driveability, and just overall experience has been dynamic adjustment. I was able to really enjoy the car this past weekend and its everything the GTS isnt: Hi reving, low tq, grippy, v10 singing machine. Now I dont say that with disregard to my GTS because the GTS is everything the R8 isnt: tq monster, growler, rwd fun, and more. Like I mentioned at the start; just two different beasts that compliment each other.

My dream car right there one of the few supercars that are amazing daily drivers. Im glad you are not keeping it a garage queen like most supercar owners that car is meant to be driven. Also unrelated what phone do you have those photos are clean.

I'm not much of an Audi person but I have seen this in person and it is quite impressive. It's interesting to hear that it rates over the lambo for you.

Great colour combo and really like the red diamond stitch seats.
The v10 is epic and I have a similar itch, which resulted in Plus Coupe and H Spyder test drives
May I ask how front ground clearance compares to the GT, as I have a steep drive?
I can drive up, but always back out, just to be safe.

Was at the Audi dealership this past weekend. Ordered the wife a new 18 S4. Owner let me take out a new r8 was very impressed with the car. Great fit and finish and as far as I'm concerned you can't beat the AWD system in this car especially for the street.
I'm sure you'll enjoy

Thanks again for all the comments!!!
So this might shock you but the most forward part of the nose that is exposed to the outside air is about 7 3/4 inches above the ground on a flat surface. Now as you get under the front fascia there is a plastic under belly part that slopes downward under the trunk that is about 5 3/4 inches above the ground. I seriously doubt you would have issues here with the proper angle in and out maneuvering.
