message left for the guy who handles it at Brooklyn
i dont like how the guy at Ralley was so confident that “nobody” offers it in the northeast, everyone’s a know it all apparently

Guys I don’t think that page is meant to be the warranty. I would assume they have a legal document that comes with your purchase. If that’s all they provide, then obv that’s pretty shady
when I posted that snippet from the website it was my intention to discuss the matter further, I do not believe that page is meant to be the only document they provide

Not very reassuring. Perhaps someone from Renntech will set me straight and provide the language of the warranty. My bet is that there is no express warranty. That it's "trust us."

I was under the impression that all Renntech mods/upgrades were coverd along side the MB warantee... I guess if something were to go wrong it would be the owners proof that it was not caused by improper install or by the mods? Isn't Dinan if installed by dealer covered under all BMW warantee?

Another consideration is that the MB/Renntech dealer may be willing to “self insure” anything that might happen and offset any losses against the profits gained from offering the tunes. Your issue may come up when you have an issue and return to a dealer other than the one that installed the tune. Then the “we won’t cover it” discussion/debate will ensue.
Best regards.

in comparison...
This is the directly from the warranty info page at Eurocharged. EC is the ONLY company to offer an actual warranty to clients that is worth anything:
TUNING (SOFTWARE) MOTOR REPLACEMENT POLICY
Eurocharged is so confident in our tuning offerings that we will warranty any motor against internal parts damage due to issues directly related to our software. Upon issue, we will require all parts be inspected by an approved dealer for analysis.
- Products must be purchased directly through an authorized Eurocharged dealership in the US or Canada and not by a previous owner or third party.
- Coverage is for 2-years or 20,000 miles from the original in-service date.
- Motor coverage is limited to $50,000.
- Valid maintenance records will be required.
- Problem parts including the ecu(s) may need to be shipped to Houston for diagnosis and repair. If the issue is deemed to be as a result of our tuning, we will reimburse for all shipping charges. If any parts are missing, we may deny the claim.
- Warranty claim may be denied if determined that another tuner's software was installed on the vehicle at any given time.
- Receipt required for Eurocharged software purchase.

Still reads like a lot of ambiguity and hoops. However, that's probably about as good as it's going to get. After all, it is a high performance modification. Not as straight forward as taking your car into the dealer for a "no-questions" asked warranty item on a stock car.

Guys, I just wanted to follow up with this. I ended up going with the PRESSERtech tune... and to say I am impressed would be an understatement. This tune has literally transformed my car.
I wrote up a quick review to share on my social media pages. The guys from PRESSERtech saw it and asked if they could post it to their website. You can read it here: https://www.pressertech.com/blog/sta...aniacal-demon/
Why pay an exorbitant price for a tune from one of the big name, high priced shops when you can get more for your money buying from a smaller shop with smaller overhead? Honestly, I can't recommend this company enough.

Yeah. Misfitting plugs, difficult install. ECU tune is just better all around and about same price thru Eurocharged
if you had an ECU buried in the chassis like the C class than MAYBE a consideration.
edit. And maybe 1/2 the gains with a piggy.

About to go with Eurocharged tune shipping ECU next week cant wait. My engine break in is just about up. The claims are from 456hp to 639hp and 442tq to 600 tq on the GT wow anything close to that would be amazing

good timing on revisiting this tread
got my car about two weeks ago with 1400 miles
goes to dealer Tuesday for a coil recall and routine service then off for: paint correction, xpel ultimate, llumar tint and ceramic pro on paint/wheels/glass
lastly, tuning - have been doping some research and asking around
decided to go Eurocharged and looking forward to what I hope to be more usable power - no dealer near me so will ship it out to them

I've compared the differences between some of the tunes. To me, I care about power than max torque since I will track my car. Also, I'd like to limit the max torque since I've heard from a Benz mechanic that some carbon drive shafts have broken from excessive torque. I'm leaning towards VR tuned at the moment.

This is the plot I was looking at initially. It seems the peak gains are lacking compared to some other tunes. On the Eurocharged us website, there's only a plot with downpipe. Can you provide any other dyno plots for a stock engine with and without tune?
