Here is the lap times
AMG GTS 1:27.04
Porsche TTS 1:27.81
McLaren 570 1:27.21
Porsche GT3 1:27.22
Scoreboard!
Who cares unless you only drive your car on a track. For an all around street/track sports car you can't compare the GTS to a TTS.

The numbers posted even a pro couldn't tell the difference.

JimBrady, Take a look at the 7:16 mark and check the times, different then what you posted, and this is Willow Springs with Randy driving??? hmmm. I'm not saying your numbers are inaccurate but its funny how different they can be shown on/in different videos/magazines.
TD33, yes, you are correct in that a pro couldn't tell the difference in the times, but they can sure tell you which car was easier to drive to get those times.

There's a later test on Head to Head against a Jag F type where Randy turns the 1:27.04. Maybe Vic can post the link.

I've seen it and also seen faster and slower times for the 570 and the GT3. My point was on any given day these cars are so close and could be in front or behind the other, just depends on the day. We all are very lucky to be living during this time with such AWESOME cars available, and we are very fortunate to be driving any one of them. I'll still take my GT3 though....lol

Dead on agree with you that driver can tell what car was easier to get the time.

That's why I look forward to watching Nurburgring runs. Older cars look like they will bounce off track and are pounding the driver. Newer cars advantage are not so much about speed and braking as before but handling over difficult surfaces. That's where the lap time is made.

That being said, the GTR IMO got its great time from that ease of that suspension on that track. Looking forward to seeing GT3.2 and GT2RS on runs as a comparison.

And to your point, the TT-S has improved its time (from your post vs Jim's OG post)... and I think that was the 991.1 TT-S. The .2 is clearly improved.
