Carbon Fiber Interior Wrap
I have started wrapping the interior of my GTS with 3M 1080 Black Carbon fiber wrap looks great and has the exact same texture and look as the carbon fiber in the instrument cluster. I will be removing the 4 center air vents to wrap the surround on those as the curves will make wrapping them while in place very difficult.

Looks great! I plan to do the same thing as I didn't have a chance to spec CF originally and the matte leaves me wanting. Also plan to cover the crossbar. I would have scoffed at this 'wannabe' veneer just a few years ago but the materials and techniques have reached the point where it's difficult for 95% to tell the difference. Keep it going!

Thanks! Yes I have seen the glossy ones and have lots of experience with real Carbon Fiber but honestly I believe this 3M one is such a perfect fit to what is in the instrument cluster that it gives a great OEM look. I like that there is some texture too it looks very real. Will be posting more photos I am waiting for a Mercedes wedge tool so I can safely remove the center vents.

Here is a great post on how to remove the center air vent. I was able to remove the lower trim piece #2 with
I bought from Amazon which works like the $100 Mercedes Wedge tool just be sure to insert from the right (passenger side) of panel #2 not the center as they show in the photo. However now that this is removed the access to the 2 torx screws is blocked by a plastic piece...to be continued!

Agreed the end result is money far better spent than retrofitting with OE CF bits.

Yes please! I really wanted CF interior as well. I bought my ‘16 2 years ago with literally every option EXCEPT CF interior so I couldn’t pass it up at just $90k 2 years ago, CPO with just 5800 miles.
