Hello from Poland - GTR arrived
Hello everyone Mercedes Fan. Best regards from Warsaw, Poland. I have my GTR since one month. It is awesome car and my first AMG. I used to drive many 911 and Cayman GT4, but I need to confirm that GTR is simply amazing car. I did almost 2000 km, so I also visited track. Times of laps in first session with GTR was better than 911 GT3 which I know how to drive. I can see big potential when I will know him better. Traction control regulator is also very useful - I fitted TC to my needs and I had power to out faster from bends.
One issue for me is a brakes - did you have any problems with brake pads in your cars with ceramic brakes? I think it was overheated after few laps. Brake pads didn't look good because of ash and it was completely different than for example Porsche ceramic brakes. I asked my dealership and AMG answered that I have to use some special brake pads for track (SLS Black Series pads) but it is not available to buy.
If you have any experience with brake pads please let me know. It is new for me so better to ask. Best regards for all.

Car looks awesome.
Re: Ceramic brakes. Check the owners manual carefully as there is probably a section dedicated to 'Brake burnishing'. This is incredibly important especially on track with the CCMs. You must do this! The portion of the pads next to the rotor will probably turn white. Don't worry, that's what you want.
How is the 'ride' on the street?

On the streets GTR is amazingly comfortable and calm. More than GTS what sounds strange. Maybe it is not perfect daily car, but you can easy take it everywhere to drive.
Interior is with buckets and without extra leather packs. I think that the best in GTR is that it is GTR. Don't need many extras. I have command + burmester, track pack, ceramic brakes, dynamic roofliner and some small details more.
I love this AMG car very very much

I need to read it carefully, but I was sure when the car is like GTR and has also track pack is ready to tracking without any additional prepares. I have many friends with Porsches and PCCB, and they are tracking without any changes. One Cayman GT4 did 6,5 kkm and only track km - without even brake pads for now. Sorry for comparing to Porsche but for me GTR is a car which can compares with any Porsche on the race track with handling and fastness and I hope with the brakes also.

Wow.. so the GTR is MORE comfortable on normal roads than the GTS?
Here in Aus, we dont have the option of a test drive, and my only real concern is that it would be a daily driver for me, so I don't want
something overly harsh. I was quite happy with a GTS though, so maybe this is still an option.
Hard to imagine it riding softer than a GTS
Cheers,
Scar
