Anyone notice the bulging bodywork in the bumper flanking the license plate? Why are those huge bulges there?

Unfortunately in the US and Canada those are government required bumperettes.

Europe doesn't require them though.

MOD here "Rock" took his off (C63S) and said it was a lot of work plus I hate killing the factory paint and it would require a bumper respray (to do it right).

The only other possible way would be to use eight 'Bumper Plugs', but I doubt it would look decent with that many of them.

I'm assuming these bumpers are installed at the factory? Wondering if these holes can be prevented like the front plate bracket.

Here's some interesting information I just clipped off of the MB AMG GTR site today 8/4/17.

IF Mercedes plans on delivering these cars by the end of the month, they are going to need to fill in the missing information real soon.
