305/30-20 tire on stock or aftermarket 20" wheel

Anyone have a pic of a 305/30-20 tire on a stock or aftermarket 20" wheel on their GTS/GT that they could share?

I'm also looking to run 305's on the stock 11" rear wheels on my Edition 1. Anyone have feedback or pics on this setup?

My Porsches had 305's on OEM 11" width wheels and they looked just right. The 295's on my stock Edition 1 wheels look a bit stretched.

I'll be installing Michelin PS4S on 11" OEM rears next week. I'll post a photo when they're on the car.

What are your rear offsets? Any rubbing with the 305's in the back?

Your talking about 10mm from stock 295, so it’s really not a big deal.

Very true, yes. But I'm in need of new tires anyways so I may as well get something that fills up the wheelwells a little more. I liked how the 305's fit on my 11" Porsche wheel and the 295's have a slight stretch on my stock rear wheels. Personal preference but I like a fat tire over the stretched look. Being only 11mm difference gives just enough extra meat without messing with the handling/balance too much.

Well you’ll be happy to know the P4S is a lot more square and beefy than the SS, tire to tire.

Interesting... And you're totally correct. The 4S has that rim protector that makes them slightly beefier. More squared shoulders too.. I haven't had any experience with them though. Seems like they'd be a better street option. I have track experience with the cup 2's on my Porsche so familiarity is what makes me lean towards them. I know they're not the greatest street tires though.. they need to be heated up to be sticky. The 4S also seems better in the rain.. Just don't know how they compare in grip. Maybe this is the time to try them.. Slightly better price too.

Where I used to burn through first gear after 5k in SS, 305 PS4s hook up immediately when warm.

Tires are a lot quieter as well.

To go one step further 315/30/20 tires should fit the stock rear 20x11 wheel for some tires. For example the wheel size range listed by Toyo for 315/30/20 R888Rs is 10.5-11.5" with the design rim width being 11". Mich PSS range is 10.5 to 12" with the design also being 11" Unfortunately it doesn't look like PS Cup 2's are made in that size. Of course the next question is whether there would be rubbing for GT/GTS.

Ronan-Looks good, would love to see a side pic as well. Are you stock ride height and have you experience any rubbing with the your 325's in the rear?

It's lowered on KW HAS springs. I just got the wheels on so I haven't driven it around yet so unsure about rubbing. There's still snow around so it might be another few weeks. I'll keep everyone posted. It's definitely a tight fit.

I'll get some side pics tomorrow.

Profile shot. Bumper is off because I'm wrapping the grille.

They're BC forged. I don't mind sharing the offset but I'd like to confirm there's no rubbing first.

So on the stock 20” rear wheels (forged mesh wheels) 315/30’s are the best way to go for ultimate traction? Would 315’s fit in the stock rear wheels?

thanks for the help.

I have 315s on the stock 20 inch wheel. Toyo R888Rs. Still plenty of space left, never any rubbing issues.

They are very loud. Not recommended if you daily or use it as GT car. The traction they provide is insane though, even at 650HP I don't get any wheelspin.
