Well after 12 long months from my order date and 6 plus months at the Brunswick, GA VPC, I am ready to start enjoying my new ride.
Many, many thanks to everyone especially Vic, Mr. Vanos, AMG 17GT, TD 33, California John, Romeo E55, Emercier and of course JRCART who I have considerable history with as we explored the mysteries of our new model launch GTS E1’s together.
FWIW: The GTR and GTC Stop Sale is history and cars are now rapidly flowng to their new owners.
ALSO, THIS CAR IS A MONSTER AND A LOT OF FUN TO DRIVE!!
Very Best Regards
Jerry

Many thanks guys!!
I’m finishing up on a complete wrap of the car - 3M (10 year warranty) which is a new experience for me. Then it’s on to ceramic coating (7 year warranty).
My dealer wants to put it back on the showroom floor for their AMG 50th Anniversary event.
Best regards

I really like the option with yellow stitching, I drove a GT R with this interior at the AMG Performance Tour a couple weeks ago, but it is with Dynamica of course, I wish they would offer it in leather only too.
Yes they should also offer additional alternative interior choices other than black for the GT R.

You guys need to look at the GTR options closer.
My GTR has SILVER stiching, SILVER seat stripes and RED seat belts. The PAK night option goes well with the pano black and carbon fiber console and carbon fiber brace and BLACK sill plates with the lighted AMG logo.
I too grew tired of all black interiors and with my GTS E1, Red stitching.
When I ordered my GTR a year ago, yellow was immediately turning out to be the color of choice and I too wanted something different.
Gotta do your homework.
Best Regards

Many top line installers prefer Suntek as it’s apparently slightly easier to install and is somewhat optically clearer. However, Xpel Ultimate is still highly rated. ‘FastMD’ had Xpel Stealth installed on his GHM car as it mirrored the actual paint finish better than the Suntek matte product, again proving that ‘it depends’ is a good answer when trying to chose a particular film. 3M for years was poorly regarded as it yellowed terribly, BUT there is now a new version with a 10 year warranty that has converts.
I always suggest that a person check with their local car clubs as to who is the best installer in town, and that like so many other things in life, you get what you pay for.

The number one criteria is the quality of the installer; it’s at least 90% of the final result versus the film itself.

Great idea by the OP to have one thread for all GTR/GTC pics. I am glad the moderators are letting "non owners" pics as well as it helps us all.
You guys are so lucky to have a GT-R .

What % tint do you have on the windows?

Crown Mercedes in Dublin, OH treated me fantastically especially my salesman, Ken Stuart. They gave me about $5K more for my trade than I was quoted elsewhere; threw in wheel/tyre insurance; agreed to enclose transport the GT R to me and return my Z06 to them, as well as reimburse me for my airfare. It was a great deal! If there’s anyone local in need of a MB, I can’t recommend them highly enough.
I’ll post some pix when I get the car.

Congrats! I have a Solarbeam Yellow GTS with Carbon exterior , pano roof and high End stereo on Order. I’ve been looking for a Yellow GTR to come around. No luck . Green appears to be the big choice. A dealer close to me is getting a White one. Will check it out when it comes in .

I’ve been on a list at two dealers for quite a few months, but with allocations apparently non-existent and my trade losing value rapidly, I found a GHM car with all the options I wanted, plus a couple I could easily live with. It’s essentially loaded except for the high end Burmester and the exterior CF. The hardest part in pulling the trigger was the colour as I’m a Selenite Grey fan, but the deal I was offered was too good to pass up so I flew in to see the car yesterday and see the GHM in the flesh. I needed to know that I could live with it, but once I laid eyes on it I think it’s fantastic; photos don’t do it justice. Anyway I signed the papers and it’s going to be delivered hopefully on 11/27.
