Do you now have your GTR? Does it have the 993 Package? These are the questions posed in order to determine what happened with a very select number of GTR’s made between 3/15 and 4/24 that had the 993 option included in their manufacture.

MB USA have a legal issue here IMHO. Your car’s window sticker states it has the Lane Tracking option, an option that you apparently paid for. IF that ordered/paid for option is either not installed, or installed but deactivated, you certainly have legal recourse to get an answer as to why that is so, and what can be done about it. At the very least you should be reimbursed for the cost of the option and a new window sticker presented to you that shows you ‘dont have’ the option on your car; at best if the components are installed, (and I’d bet they are), the system should be activated for you. You may have a valid claim that MB USA has misrepresented the vehicle and a buy back is in order. I’m no attorney and if you love the car I can’t imagine returning it just because it doesn’t have the 993 option, but from a legal standpoint perhaps the issue could be forced.

This isn’t tended to be an inflamatory post. I am merely trying to determine through the GTR owners here who has the option and what their manufacture date is. If it was on or after 6/19 I am happy you have the option and its working. That strenghens my position with US MB corporate.

They have been aware of the descrepency for a little over a month now. So, maybe they are deciding what to do. I just hope it’s soon.

Porsche had this problem with the .1 GT3 stating there was a memory seat option and when early cars got delivered it wasn't there. They compensated with $.

THANKS. I’m thinking that is just what they may do after the holidays are over. I am going through the owners manual to see how to activate the
Lane Changing feature in case it’s there. I don’t have the mirror triangles for Blind Spot.

BTW: I learned alot from your wrap and ceramic coating posts. I apprciate it very much!!

I have the new 3M Clear Coat (10 year warranty) and Crystal Serum Light Ceramic Coat (5 year warranty).

I asked the MB Dealer GM and the Sales Mgr if we would see any increase in value come trade or sale time. They said “yes” since the car would be essentially perfect paint wise and if the next owner didn’t want it they could remove it. We’ll see.

That dealer is on here and seemed to be very friendly when I spoke to them. I was close to pulling the trigger on this one, but I decided that for the money, I'd prefer to spec one with all the options I want as this one is missing a few.

My build date when I locked in my order was scheduled 2W November 2017. I have an updated build date 1/16/18 Grrrr.

all the Dealers lie and give you Build dates and allocations, then they vanish or change. Doesn’t much matter cause you won’t be driving it in the middle of the Winter anyhow

Not necessarily the case I have a great relationship with my SA and dealer. They always send me a screen shot with updates as the car updates on NetStar. Not every salesperson or dealership is evil.

BTw, Build dates are given as first, second or third Ten days of the month. They don’t specify the actual date. May be fictitious .

When they lock (RED) your order will get a production date. When they are yellow (You can still change all if not parts of the build) then the dates are estimated. The factory can move dates at anytime usually due to part delays.

I don't remember the exact details. Missing a few of the carbon fiber options and one or two other things I wanted. Like interior stitching color.

All production GTRs have Carbon fiber mirrors and rear spoiler. And carbon roof panel. The front lip and diffuser are black on this one. That one has interior stitching , silver. With a gray car, that is the best match. Yellow would look a little kitschy. Yellow seat belts too? Sounds like a ten year olds dream car.

I don’t think that information is correct. All initial launch GTR’s were required to have the Carbon Fiber II Package. After that the spoiler and mirrors were black unless ordered as carbon fiber.

Anybody else wonder if cutter and fourT6and2 are the same person with a personality disorder just playing with us about them buying a GTR? I find it funny that the both of the them continue in circles.

Before both of you get upset, consider our perspective, some of your posts are mind boggling. I hope you both get your dream cars.

Cutter said his time is too valuable to buy a car out of state. If that is so, you would have had a car by now. I find that the quickest way. I call, make deal, ask for bank info, transfer funds online, done. Car delivered to my garage, plus they have said they are cash buyers. It doesn't get any easier.

Once again, I do find their posts amusing.
