Upgraded my AMG GTR

Hi wanted to share my numbers after upgrading my GTR, I did a full GAD Motors upgrade, upgraded turbos, fuel system upgrade, larger intercoolers, reinforced clutch, head work, ECU and TCU software. The car is a complete different animal with pump gas I was able to do 4.8 seconds 100–200km constant, and with a race fuel tune I was doing 4.5 seconds with wheel spin in third gear, the car is on stock tires 325/30ZR20 pilot Sport Cup 2, I have Toyo R888R on order in the same size, I hope those tires will help the time to drop.

Personally I dislike the R888. A far better tyre is the Z06/7 spec MPSC2 ZP tyres which fit the car perfectly.

I don’t know the difference when comparing in a Z06, in my GTS I ran the R888R and they where really performing very well, and at this stage I need more traction have to go with something more aggressive than my OEM fittment.

315 was the max size but they are offering 325/30ZR20 in the US you can find them in tire rack

While I definitely believe GTR is a car that can handle more power, I would be careful on regular track as you will be getting into areas unknown.

Rolling 1/2miles should Be interesting. Not many cars in that territory.

I have been upgrading AMGs for as long as I have been driving and trust me Vic the GTS-GTR is the best platform AMG has in the market to make power out of at least that’s what I have experienced, and the guys at GAD are doing magic with the M177 engines and with the Getrad gearbox

F12 at 731 hp/508 torque shouldn't get smoked like that.

Try 900+HP and 1100+NM GTS and you would think twice given the weight difference to be considered too

this GTS did a 4.3 second 100-200km in Germany with race fuel 4.3 second is hypercar territory 950HP and 1200NM

Remarkable that a RWD GTS can put that power to the ground

The GTS in the insta video I posted is running Toyo R888R, this is why I have them on order to put the power to the ground, with this power normal tires can’t do much and you need semi slicks it’s a must

With the proliferation of high power engines, it's readily apparent that tires make a huge difference i.e. Performante Ring times.

To be honest I didn’t try a stock run I had my engine pulled out with 900KM, and I did that so I can also run in the clutches, but I believe that it’s between 6.6–6.9 seconds, if someone has a VBox and a GTR please get us a number for comparison.

certainly impressive gains... has anyone had their GT; GT-C or GT-R ECU's upgraded by RENNtech ? wonder if the results wound be similar ? Thinking of doing the same with my GT-C

Also, I have an F12 and had the ECU tweaked... it is simply vicious in race mode... I suspect the driver in the video simply wasn't interested or was caught off guard in a tall gear... the GT-C is very quick but at 5000 + rpm's, the F12 is just leaving here... now put the two on a road course and I suspect the GT-C would be able to not only keep up but possibly post a better time... the tranny shifts are just as good as the Ferrari's and the handling is very, very good... now the F12 TDF is another animal...

all I know is that they do an upgrade to the gearbox and program the TCU to get the best out of the complete upgrade

i hope this answers your question because really I don’t have much more info, they have done 3 gearboxes for me my SLS biturbo, AMG GTS “sold” and now my GTR
