Booty upgrade and transformation complete
Finally transformed the GT to my satisfaction:
Chrome deletion
Brushed centers with bronze lip Strasse Wheels F265 and R305/3020
RW Carbon Diffuser
5% tint and a few more AMG stickers.
Front/Rear 9500CI and tune
Glad to report that I have had no issues with the car after 11K miles of bliss and driving it sometimes (better half says most of the time) like a hooligan. This car is truy a "happy mood"machine

Looks great! What did they use for the chrome deletion? Curious as I want to darken the door handles of my GTC to match the rest of the black chrome accents.

Thanks guys.
Chrome deletion was a mixture of painting (front emblem and fin), vinyl (door handle) and plasti-dip (rear emblems, I got lazy and I need to just take the emblems off and get it painted).

Looks mean and well modified from an aesthetic view. I will say that you have do all that to it, why not lower it? The current options are very good and I actually find my KW's to have a more compliant compression and rebound over uneasy pavement than that of the oem springs.
RW makes nice pieces (they are near my office) and their price point really is quite fair.

Vic55 - Re lowering your car. Can you get by without bottoming out on our Southern California roads? I have touble avoiding all the potholes in L.A. County, and getting out of driveways is also an adventure. I've bottomed my non-lowered GT twice so far.

I have hit many potholes and those occurences would have happened with the car lowered or not but with the KW's the spring rates are different and are progressive which allow for a better "cushion" of feel when I did inadvertently roll over them. The drop I have is about 1 inch and I still have a lot of room so there is not bottom'ing out at all.

Scott, I have very good roads in the area where I live so I dont have a ton of issues there. In reality a lowered car will have more issues on driveways and odd angled undulations that are extreme but I simply angle in and have not yet rubbed the under part of the front fascia.

I appreciated the function on my CL55 that allowed me to lower the car 3/4th of an inch and to raise it by about the same amount, depending on the need. But the weight of such a system would probably be prohibitive on the GTs.

That's a tradeoff I sometimes wish I could make. I live in the middle of the twisties, very close to The Rock Store, so I can enjoy that ride. But the roads here are miserable. Potholes are a major problem, but we also have uneven surfaces, tramlinined streets (caused by upswelling in the asphalt) and the most miserable driveways you can imagine to keep water out of private property and parking lots. So it's a real adventure.

Vic55 -- Avenue San Luis west of Fallbrook Avenue, heading east, in Woodland Hills, will definitely damage your front end. The street has been wonky for years, as if it's under the La Brea Tar Pits. The straight limit lines and double yellow lines painted on the surface show how much the street has lifted in some areas and sunk in others.

I did Mulholland to the beach yesterday and had no issues with my lowered GTS and Renntech front splitter. The KW setup is the way to go, not only for the better spring rates but ride height is adjustable.

Mulholland Highway to PCH is a good drive. Except for the rocks which occasionally fall it's a great stretch of road. Driving the roads around L.A. County and getting into and out of driveways is the hard part. The streets in the City of L.A. are the worst.
