Very Interesting - scroll to the bottom and read the comments. Seems like they are saying a lot of manufacturers "cheat/sandbag" on these numbers to their advantage for comparison purposes with/against other competitor cars in their class.

All of the dyno numbers, including Renntech’s, suggest that it is definitely underrated from the factory. How underrated is pretty much speculation due to not knowing the exact drivetrain loss. Renntech says 609hp/541lbft at the crank.

FWIW: In the articles I have read, the 602-609 hp number is correct for the euro GTR. The US “As Delivered” 577hp number is also fairly accurate but conservative as you stated.
However, if K&N filters replace the stock ones, the number will return to near 602-605.

GTR 0-60 times are understated as well 0-60 is really 2.6 -2.8.

Regards

AMG GTS Solarbeam Yellow
Local guy who has pure turbos, meth, downpipes, intake and tune in his GTS ran a stock AMG GTR and it was a half decent race

So

There is definitely some under rating going on by AMG

fun ones.
I’ve seen a stock gtr dyno at 625bhp. A 675lt just edges my GTR.

Theyre quick!

Wait Jerry you are getting 2.6 to 2.8 zero to 60's? I just do not see that in the rwd GTR. I have never seen one car, magazine or draggy pull that. But then again thats not what the GTR is intended for.

Those numbers might be doable with drag radials but with stock rubber? Show the video.

Vic:
Calling me out huh?

Now I’ll have to go hunting up the articles again so I can win a virtual beer.

I do know 0-60 is quicker than 3.6.

Who cares anyway, if you’re a traffic light Grand Prix driver then you bought the wrong car!

You drive yours any way you want to and I’ll do the same.

Besides VIC and I are just messing with each other.

You of course are free to just move on to another thread and not read this one.

No need to choose a virtual beer! Come to Irvine and have all the ale and stout you want!

Even the 2016-17 GTS had been tested at 3.2 and even less as I recall ......

I’m sure 3.0 and probably 2.9 are possible, specifically at a strip, but the majority of cars I’ve seen pull a sub 2.8 are either rear mid engine or AWD.
