After 16 months I finally received my car. It is truly a spectacular machine in every way. Definitely worth the long wait. It was very a long wait indeed. At some point I was considering switching to the Edition 50 to save a few months but since I had my heart set on getting the Red Pepper/Black interior with brushed silver and Carbon Fibre Trim, I could not bring myself to do it. I am glad I did not. The truth of the matter is that what kept me going was this wonderful forum with all of you guys so excited and passionate about this cars that I knew my day would come too.
I spec'ed my car after a go in a GTS that was the same colour combo as this beauty, just with exterior CF pack, rather than Chrome.
Chrome with matte paint is not an obvious choice, but the more I look at it, the more it works.
I have Chrome pack on my 17, which I wanted for the grille, which against silver virtually disappears.
The whole pack is satin finish on my car, but this looks like shiny chrome on the splitter and side sills?
This was actually the only item I was not sure about and really wanted to get brushed silver. The problem was that the dealership could not confirm that it was available on as an option (at least here in Canada). Because they really did not know much and even the DOG contained numerous errors, I just gave up. I think it looks good and blends well with the other elements. I just hope I can keep it clean...

May I suggest matte PPF, which will both reduce the shine and protect the finish.
Small exposed areas, so easy, quick, cheap and reversable.

Mine came the same way. What I did was take black electrical tape and black out around the window. Sounds cheap but it worked and no one has ever even asked or noticed. If you don't like peel it off.
